Top Neighborhoods in Louisville to Trick or Treat

    Hillcrest Ave.

Known for the most extravagant decorations, Hillcrest (or Halloween Street) is THE BEST neighborhood to take the kiddos for trick or treating. Their Halloween tradition is so big, it has it’s own website and Facebook page! The exciting thing about Hillcrest is that they don’t have to have a specific theme to decorate their home, so you will see decorations for all ages. Some common themes we’ve seen thus far are Harry Potter decorations, Zombie apocalypse, Michael Myers and Halloween, Zombie Derby and many more. You and your family will have a magnificent time, just be ready in case a prop jumps out at you!

    Audobon Park/Louisville Zoo

Take your family to Louisville’s Largest Halloween Party at the Louisville Zoo! The kiddos will feel like they’re in a storybook while walking through due to all the different types of characters including Moana, Disney princesses, Disney princes and other favorite characters! Another great component to Boo at the Zoo is that the proceeds go to the Zoo’s animal care program, botanical garden, visitor experience and conservation education!

    St. Matthews/Brown Park

Another fun adventure for the family this Halloween is “Halloween at Brown Park!” For over 20 years, St. Matthews Chamber of Commerce have brought together thousands of residents and local businesses together for a fun, family friendly event! Over 60 businesses set up trick or treat stations throughout the park’s trail. The event will include bouncy houses, hay rides, games and crafts for the kiddos! Another reason to attend this wonderful event is because it’s now a Teal Pumpkin Project Participant which means it offers non-food treats for trick or treaters who may suffer from a food allergy.
