Old Louisville is a beautiful, historic neighborhood located in central Louisville. It is the largest preservation district featuring almost entirely Victorian architecture and contains the highest amount of stained glass windows in a residential area. The neighborhood is made up of many styles including Victorian, Romanesque, Queen Anne, and Italianate. It is one of the original Louisville neighborhoods with 20th-century buildings from 15 to 20 stories. Old Louisville, located north of the University of Louisville campus, consists of about 48 city blocks. It is within minutes of Downtown Louisville. and is known for it’s annual St. James Court Art Show happening on the first weekend in October.
